The Faculty Excellence Celebration is a new annual awards event that recognizes the recipients of the Faculty Excellence Awards. This year, the Faculty Excellence Celebration event will be held on May 14, 2024.
Nominations for the 2025 Faculty Excellence Awards will open in the Fall 2024 semester.

Distinguished Faculty Awards
Distinguished Faculty Awards celebrate outstanding performance by faculty in all aspects of their role and the ongoing enhancement of their teaching and/or scholarship. Recipients of this prestigious award demonstrate excellence in areas such as scholarly teaching, leadership in service, and/or significant accomplishments in scholarship.

Teaching and Learning Awards are three new awards that recognize the exemplary efforts and commitment of our faculty to the art of teaching and learning:

- Teaching Excellence in Lifelong Learning Award
Research Recognition Awards
Research Recognition Awards celebrate full-time faculty members who are making extraordinary contributions to their respective academic/professional fields, students and communities through their scholarship. In 2024, three awards will recognize the outstanding achievements of Mount Royal scholars:
- Emerging Scholar Award
- Research and Scholarship Excellence
- Undergraduate Research Supervision Award
The Faculty Excellence Awards are administered through Academic Affairs, as part of Mount Royal’s Celebrate U framework for employee rewards and recognition.
